ROOTS, RHYTHM, & SOUL
A podcast unearthing the stories of Afrolatin music & dance
WHAT WE DO
Throughout our dance education, we have realized that there is a huge part of the story of dancing that is missing from dance classes: the stories.
Roots, Rhythm, & Soul is a podcast where we are seeking out those stories and the lost history embedded within them. Through conversations with the dancers, the musicians, and those who paved the way for us, we hope to bring light to the rich history of these dances and pay homage to its history.
Welcome to Roots, Rhythm, & Soul, follow us for updates and join us on our journey of documenting our history.
Our first episode features Eddie & Maria Torres, The Mambo King & Queen! Follow us on social media or sign up below for notifications of episode releases.
We are a team of dancers, performers and entertainers (if you're Mario) striving to learn more about our art form. Collectively we have been dancing for 40 years but we each have our unique story. Follow our links to read more about us and our motivation to be a part of Roots, Rhythm, & Soul. We're glad you're here!
